The Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) is currently soliciting applications for Teacher-Coaches (2, K-12 teachers or college instructors, 180 hour commitment, $5,400 stipend) and Near Peer Mentors (10, undergraduate or graduate students with STEM research experience, 160 hour commitment, $3,200 stipend) to participate in the 2025 STEM Foundations Program.
STEM Foundations is a four-week virtual program (July 2025) designed to prepare high school students for the challenges and opportunities of a STEM career. It focuses on many of the professional skills needed to succeed in higher education and the workforce.
Schedule: Class sessions, trainings, and meetings scheduled between noon and 4pm ET. June 23-July 3 (training and preparations), July 7-August 1 (program implementation), August 4-8 (wrap up).
Eligibility: STEM Foundations is funded by the U.S. Army. Participants must hold U.S. Citizenship or have permanent legal resident status.
